Quilted Wall Hangings

A quilted wall hanging is a great gift for someone that has everything. You can personalize the wall hanging with his/her special interests or the names of Grandchildren. There are so many possibilities. I made this one for a sewing guild auction that I went to this past week. It was a hit. It cost $22

Slipcover for a Wingback chair

Here is what the chair looks like without the slipcover.

And here is the new slipcover that I made for my Mother-in-law. She picked out the fabric and I sewed it up for her. It took about six to seven hours of labor for this project so I charge $98 for the labor on a job like this.

Other Purses

These purses are made of different scraps of cotton for a more quilted look. The cost for one of these or others similar would be between $32-$37 because there is more time involved in making one of these. They would be so unique though because of the variety of different fabrics and patterns available. The sky is the limit.

This is a close up view of the embroidered details that I put on this one for myself.

Curtains

Here are curtains that I made for our bedroom. The yellow blotch in the middle is the sun shining through. They are $20.00 a panel for labor plus the cost of fabric.

Placemat purses/diaper bags

These are the purses that I have made for myself.

This purse is the one I am currently using. It is made of 2 quilted place mats. I cannot find the brown place mats right now, but I can substitute with other colors. The fall colors are selling out of stores quickly so let me know if you want one. I charge $19 for a purse like this one. If you want to purchase your own place mats then I would only charge $12.00 for labor.

These three purses are made out of only one place mat. They are $14.00 or $10.00 for labor only.

I can also personalize some items for an extra charge of $5.00 per word/name.

Tablerunners, pillows, and small quilts

These are just ideas of things that I have made recently. Keep in mind that most of these projects I am not able to duplicate exactly because I have had the fabrics for a while. Just picture your own style and I will work with you to make exactly what you want.

The runner on the table is a project that I completed recently. I can also make any kind of pillow and small wall/lap quilts (these are in the background on the chair). I can machine quilt them with my Handi Quilter. All of the prices will vary depending on length of time and difficulty of pattern.

This is an outfit that I used my embroidery machine to applique the frogs onto the shirt and pants. I have also done cupcakes on a shirt for a first birthday outfit. An applique like this would cost $5.00 per applique. The more elaborate the design the higher the cost. This also applies to monogrammed names. They start out at $5.00 per name/word.

I recently made this darling nap mat for a little girl in preschool.

It cost $25.00 for labor. She bought all the supplies and just brought me the fabric.

I also hemmed a couple of pair of pants which cost $6.00 a pair.

A Little About Myself

I am a wife to a wonderful, loving husband and a Mother to three small children. God gave me the ability to sew from a young age. I started doing cross-stitch and plastic canvas when I was in grade school. I did a few hand sewn things during that time period also. I used my first sewing machine when I was in Junior High and I was hooked. The first things that I sewed were clothes and crafty items. I did that for many years which gave me enough practice that I was able to make my own wedding dress when I got married. When my husband and I got our first house I started making curtains and then in 2002 I started quilting. That has been a passion ever since. So, as you can see I have a very diverse portfolio. There are some sewing jobs that I enjoy doing better than others but I have tried many different things.

I started this business so that I can use my God given abilities to help other people have their own original and creative pieces just like I do. I have been doing this for years anyway so why not create my own company and share my ideas with all of you. I hope to partner with you in the future to create something unique and beautiful.
